    Graves smog block off kit

At the risk of sounding stupid, does anyone have instructions on installing this? The included instructions are for a street bike. I have a feeling it's pretty simple on the yzx.

    BTW, Merry Christmas

I got tthe instructions from Youtute. If you put Graves SMOG delete kit in the search field youll find and installation video. Good Luck. Super easy to do. Maybe takes 20 minutes.

Don't forget to put the rubber cap/plug on the air box where the hose came off of.

I took my stock plates off and on a work bench filled them up with JB weld let them dry for 12 hours and reinstalled. Took hoses off and bought a black vacuum cap for air box and done. It has been great for last 500 miles, cost next to nothing to do.

What does this do from the factory? You are talking about the two valves in the valve, right? Is it just a pcv? If so, when plugged, where does the crank case vent?

It's under the two plates on the valve cover with the hoses going to them. They are reed valves that allow air to be pulled in the head when you let off the accelerator so the unburned gas will burn off before going out the exhaust, nothing to do with crank case vent, just smog B.S. . If you delete them it will stop the popping or back-fire that is common with aftermarket exhaust system. It adds no performance to block them off, just cleans up the appearance of the engine and stops the back-fire.
