    Current Turbo Kits - Discussion

    TURBO TALK

    MPI - $4000.00
    Factory Approved?
    Muffler Design is questionable

    Silber - $2,800.00
    Uses factory Muffler (Sleeper System!!) I kinda like the idea
    Reflashed OEM Computer, no extra controller/wiring

    Weller/RPM - $5,500.00
    Dual Exhaust Outlet
    New Shorty Header

    Hurricane Performance - $3895USD
    Canadian Eh?
    Hindle Exhaust

    Boost-It - No Published Kit Yet

    K&T - $5995

    Aerocharger - No Published Kit Yet

    What are you guys thinking out there? We have seen a few guys post some MPI video's and the feedback is GOOD.

    Hurricane Performance out of Canada, $3500. Not much information on it yet other than a claimed 180hp at 6psi.

    What are the benefits/risks involved in a ECM Re-flash versus the use of a controller? MPI and Mountain Performance are the same company, based here in Utah.

    I think the biggest risk is the ability to go back to stock. The plus side is that it reduces components, wiring, and failure points.

    the problem with a simple ECU flash is the map is based solely on TPS (no pressure sensor or map sensor) and there is no 02 sensor imput. Now if someone could figure out how to add a knock sensor, 02 sensor and map sensor into the stock ecu that would be awesome!

    In regards to comparing the kits, i think the differences go WAY beyond the type of exhaust used and the price.
