Nice to see it up and running! Looks awesome!!!
Very nice build.
Anyway of posting some pics of how the turbo mounts up I have the K&T base turbo kit that has the gt22 turbo I think I can fit a gt2860 in place with minor fab work
Since its been a minute, I figured it was time for a quick update. Put about 300 miles on my car since the build over about 2.5 days down at the dunes. It's been running absolutely flawlessly, even as I've pushed it from around 8psi on on the first couple of runs all the way up to around 16psi during this last trip. At 16 it is a beast, and with a few more clicks of the boost controller and a bit more time tuning I will be at the "set it and forget it" stage where its running around 17-18psi max boost and the tune is solid.
We are leaving for St. Anthony's in about two weeks, so I will need to do a bit of tuning at elevation. I expect this will also require different boost controller settings, but it should be quick work getting it right the first day we arrive.
Getting my alternator setup mounted is the only change being made before St. A's with the exception of tranny and engine oil changes. Since MPI doesn't seem to want to make their relocation brackets anymore, I extended one end of an extra stock passenger side motor mount plate I had sitting around, added a captive nut to mount the alternator, and also added some angle steel that will support the alternator adjustment arm. This along with the designated belt that comes with the MPI bracket should get me up and running!
Hoping for a trouble free St. A's trip, and I'll report back how everything functioned and held-up as soon as I return.
