I heard from a very good source that next year the YXZ will have a turbo option. Also starting next year they will be using the same engines in their Viper snowmobiles. I am not sure what is wrong with the current engine as they are amazing but I am always one for positive change.

Dang, am I the only one on here without a very good source?

.
Nope, I have no source(s) either. And I'm convinced all the people who claim to have a source on the internet have absolutely NONE ... they are full of .... Just 1-2 months ago everyone was claiming 135hp.... it was "source" confirmed and gossip approved. Carb report comes out and now we see 112hp. Where's all those sources now?

It's all BS. Only thing I can't figure out is why everyone has to come up with this non-sense to make themselves feel important. None of the REAL sources are talking, not unless Yamaha is telling them too. Period.

PROOF.. This was just posted TODAY .... bahahahaha It never ends either.

I think that some people think this new Yamaha is going to NOT be a contender, I have to disagree I think its going to be a contender n a big one at that. Its going to have power n good power at that. I feel that Yamaha is going to show Polaris n can am that its not only hp that make a machine its everything else that goes with it. If the suspension n handling is the way I am hoping it is with that triple in it this thing will rock. Time will tell, I cannot wait to try this sxs on for size. Yamaha isn't going to come out its 1st year with a sport sxs that isn't going to be a strong competitor, It may not be king yet, But u can bet ur ass it will be right up there with everyone else! And the price I think is going to surprise everyone. They want a big chunk of the sport division n they will get it!!! Yamaha is no fool. jmho Time will tell

This is Yamaha's intended competition this year. Not the 2 flagship turbo's.

That's hard to believe that they Yamaha would say that at this time. N why wouldn't they of put that motor in it now. Something just doesn't sound right to me.
Because its a game of leap frog to the manufacturer's. All they need to do is just jump in front by a little bit. Yamaha may in fact offer the turbo next year. That way they get a year on the market to rebuild a customer base. The other manufacturers will be scrambling to offer something similar or better, meanwhile Yamaha is planning the big game changer release the following year. Makes perfect sense from a pure marketing standpoint.

That's exactly what can am did to us ! First year had no power steering, 12" wheels and no turbo. All room for improvement. It's still king of the woods even in its stock layout but Yamaha could really hit a home run with the trail riders here. Give some added goodies like neck snapping horsepower, big shocks, big tires along with cushy seats and nice appointments in the cab and they'll sell plenty.

Canned ham king of the woods?? I'm from so Cal so I don't get in the woods much, but is it possible that mobbin in the woods somehow magically transforms the canner into "king" status. Don't disagree with potential of the new Yami though :p

The canned ham has the worse 4 wheel drive of all of them, it's horrid. I can't tell you how many times guys have been in bad situations around here with only 3 wheels spinning because one was up the air. The Wolverine will wear out any Canned Ham in the woods.

I'm looking forward to a full locking front diff, its the best. But I will say that the QE on the XRS models does well, I've definitely never had a wheel spinning in the air, it moves about a quarter turn and locks like its supposed to.
