Could someone that has a dealership in there area that has a YXZ 1000 on display , measure the distance from the ground to the seat surface where you sit, when you go to look at it.
I am a paraplegic and the distance I have to pull my body up from my wheelchair to the seat surface is a big deal for me. The Yamaha dealers in my area say it will be a month before they start getting buggies in and that these buggies are sold and that it may be December before they will have buggies on the showroom floor people to look at. I do not want to commit to buy a YXZ 1000 until I can look it over.
I have a single seat buggy how that is 8 years old and its getting time to replace it with something new, I have been looking at side by sides. The shifting should not be a problem for me I raced Shifter Karts for 12 years and I put together steering wheel that had the throttle , clutch, brakes and butterfly shifter on it that worked well on my Shifter Kart.

I the U-tube videos Yamaha says they are class leader in low seat height , but if the seat height is 33.9 inch that would be the worst out of the side by sides.
I measured the Polaris 2 seat at 31.2 inches
measured the Can Am maverick 2 seat at 32.5
both of these would supper hard for me to lift my body that high, I do not think I could it. The Can Am and Polaris dealers will not let me try to get in because they think I will scratch it.

My single seat buggy has 18 inches of travel and 23 inches seat height. So if the Yamaha is 26.5 inches that I could do.

If someone is at dealer looking at Yamaha , could you measure the seat height. The spec sheet TheProfessor posted says 33.9 inches and the magazine say 26.5 inches, it would be helpful to know for sure. If the Yamaha is 33.9 inches I will look for something different for a buggy.
