Going to post some of my trail rides here. Got a new GoPro Hero 4 to play with.

Here's the first one I've uploaded. Haha, this is actually one of it dryer than it is now. It could use a lower first but dang I've been through some nasty mud and it worked.

nice video looks like some fun trials..

I don't understand why people say this isn't a trail machine. looks like you were having no issues going slower speeds.

Haven't had any problems at all. Just gas and go. Then clean it all week to get it dirty the next weekend. LOL Most of the time I just leave it in 2nd and it lugs down to 6mph fine. 1st gets to 4mph without dying and using the clutch. Up hills it does need a little more rpm but not much to keep it moving.

Cool video but no shifting really goin on . That's what I expected this machine would do on those types of trails.First and second gear. Those look like fun trails.

Nice vid. Are you running the Yamaha fender flairs by chance?

None of those trails are flat but no 90* walls. Just can't see grade changes on video. No fender flairs.. Looked at them and don't think they'll actually keep anything off. I don't mind a little mud.

Because not every trail is flat and easygoing.
I understand that, I said that because the trails in my area are very similar.

I was having doubts about purchasing a yxz because of the type of riding there is around here. after seeing this video it convinced me that a yxz is a good choice.

Unfortunately we have to spend 2k for Tubeworks tranny upgrade for the trails we ride. A real 1st gear and then the rest will be lower so we can run a 31 inch tire and still have a good ratio.

Ok, what the hell is going on at 5:12 - 5:15? Sounds like a porno being made in the cargo area!! Turn up your sound.

That would probably have been my niece. She was squeaking over there every now and then. Hell, when my wife is driving, you don't want to hear what I'm yelling. LOL That's why she has her own Wolverine.

Shipping and everything to get the Tubeworks conversion is around 1500. And that is with shipping being all the way across the country too.

Of course, this is for the 30% lower across all gears, not the granny first option.

That is also not considering the labor to pull it out, crate it up and then put it all back in either.

But, A 30% reduction with a rekluse should do everything perfectly, except for maybe serious, slow rock crawling.

AND, everyone says there is NO Way I am buying a machine and then spending money on the tranny... what about those Doors, Roof, and Suspension mods you will have to do to the CVT cars to get where the Yamaha is at stock...? To be fair, a Stock XpT or XP Fox edition probably has good enough shocks for most everything except real race conditions. BUT, those cars are a lot more than the Base YXZ to start with...and still need doors and a roof.

Another short run with my friend driving my Wolverine. Thought the YXZ was gonna try to dig through the hill instead of on top of it. Probably should not have stopped to wait on my buddy in my Wolverine. After we stopped, we found the right front tire of the Wolverine pop'd the outer bead and that's why he could barely make that last left turn.
