That's odd. They were trying to sell it to my friend
Don't know how the timing all worked out but as of 12:30pm today it was available. I may have had the opportunity for a small spin around the lot in it....amazing!
Well, I just got off the phone with them again and they confirmed my $10k deposit and that I can pick it up @ the Redondo location tomorrow... hope nothing fishy is going on or I am gonna be pretty upset.

Highly doubt it man. Have you been talking to David? They seem straight just wanted to sell it more than I wanted to pay for a yellow one. I'll patiently wait for blue
No, I initially spoke with Jessica who then got me with Yassinda I think. If everything goes smoothly I will try and strap it down on the dyno tomorrow night for baseline runs...

Oh man. Great to hear. I also talked to yesenda...lovely young lady. Keep us posted.

Can't you just take a side detour on your way home and give everyone what they want? A side by side drag and run through some whoops up against a xpt?! :p
Can't wait to hear about the dyno pulls.
Can't wait to hear about the dyno pulls.
Dyno will be VERY interesting.
Awesome!! Christmas has come early. Can't wait to see the results??? 112hp at the crank.... Anybody wanna take some stabs at what Nate will get at the rear wheels?? Hmmmm
Congrads Nate! Looking forward to your opinion of the beast!
CONGRATS NATE!!!

I'm loosing faith in all the dealers! I just sat in a blue and white YXZ...amazing!!! More than I was hoping for!!! Can't wait to be driving one. After dealing with the sales dudes, putting a refundable deposit, I just feel dirty...not loving they way the dealers are being shady with actual info.
I have a deposit on a Blue and White at Delamo.

How did you sit in a blue and white one? Thought they wouldn't be out until December? Are the dealers padding the msrp?
Chaparral Motorsports in San Bernardino said that the YXZs making the rounds at various dealers in the SoCal are owned by Yamaha and are pre production models that are not for sale and cannot be sold. Chaparral got one for 4 days and then Yamaha picked it up and took it to another dealer. Production cars are at least two weeks away from arriving at dealers. I hope your purchase goes thru.
I've really had to pry when and how they are getting and I kept on getting different answers from the same dealer. What I've concluded is they really don't know and are just saying what they think I want to hear. If they don't know, just say 'we don't know'. The back and forth on dealer prep was frustrating. I'm just trying to estimate an OTD price, dates of arrival and where I fall on the delivery rounds. Of course, the sales reps know hardly anything about the YXZ. One assumed that every unit comes with the Rekluse, and his associate didn't know what a Rekluse is...another dealership promised me a machine this week if I gave them a deposit...and we all know that woulnd't happen. Didn't think buying would be such a PIA. I might just end up buying at Abernathy's. I spoke with them on the phone...no pressure, just straight up numbers and their policy. They also know about the machines. Their price is $3200 cheaper that what I'm quoted in SoCal.
