Front end damage

Well I hit a rock this weekend and put a decent dent in the front clip. The zerk looks like it moved closer to the boot and the top plate for the a-arm has a slight bend to it. Also noticed the axle has some play on the diff side. Anyone have any suggestions on where to start or what to look for? I do have insurance but I’m hoping I don’t have to go that route.

Obviously looking at pictures won't tell the whole story....

But. And take it for what any internet reply is worth...

Chipped paint indicates its bent, really bent.

Based on your pictures the first step would be to determine IF your wheels are still square and in alignment (guessing "Yeah, No")
If the front clip is bent...

Can it be realigned?

If not will insurance cover replacement?

Is it far enough out to require replacement?

Keep in mind, having a insurance inspector is free.... and a reputable shop should be able to give you a fair estimate of what is actually required.

Just my 02 worth.

Judging by the "bow" in the bracing on your lower a-arm, Im thinking there has been some compression of the frame in that area. Mine was like that from the previous owner. When I replaced the a-arm, it would not fit in the mounting brackets. I had to take it to a frame shop to "pull" it back into shape. Pretty sure my front frame section is tweaked. I just live with it. The front sections of these frames are prone to bending. Weller offers a very pricey chromoly replacement front section. Good luck.

I would half sleeve it repair it and any cracked welds, gusset it up and live with it. I've bent mine twice on separate occasions worse than yours and drove a bit on it, to where now I'm replacing with the Weller front clip because it's just too far gone after this last incident.

There's several nice gusset kits out there, Texterra, along with Rayscars design will make the front pretty tough

rayscar gussets are nice and it covers alot of weak places but it doesnt tie the front to the outside of the frame like the texitera does or the krash front support bars do. i went with the rays car gusset kit , the rear diff support, and the krash support bars. it was more expensive than the way of going with texitera but i feel like it is more beefy this way. if you go either of the routes do it all at once so you dont have to take it apart over and over.

it does look bent though based on the support between the 2 aarm mounting points being bowed down

Does anyone have a link for the Krash front support bars? I can't seem to fine them anywhere
