I have heard for a long-time from many different owner that if this company or that company would just release a SXS worthy of having they would switch in a heart beat just to get rid of the one they have now. I am just curious to hear what you have or have had but are now on board to get they YXZ? I have heard on numerous occasions that I only have this SxS because Yamaha hasn't made one yet. Almost like people have there machines out of consultation because there brand of choice didn't make one to suit their needs.

So what are you getting rid of or keeping just to get this all new industry first Yamaha YXZ!?

I forgot to add None, or First SxS!
I think this a trick question ! Any man in his right mind would NEVER EVER get rid of a toy to get another ! Variety is the spice of life ! Hunting ,fishing ,boating motorcycles on/road and off-road , 4x4s ,rv's and camping , RC cars and planes, mountain bikes, and now new side by side. Sorry I am gonna keep them all.
In a perfect world everyone would keep them all! Unfortunately not all of us can afford to keep them all! LOL I did say getting rid of or keeping though just wondering what everyoe else has now athat would be going to the YXZ!

This is a good post. Are you trading up and why? I have an 2013 XP4 900, which I love and has been virtually bulletproof. Was thinking of adding new XPT 2 seater to the garage this year, but will probably move to this YXZ if it doesn't STB upon release (shit the bed). I will keep the ol XP4 for when the Kids circle back from College and can make a trip here and there. Really hoping Yami gets it right with this!
IF I get a Yamaha SxS,I would be selling my Can-Am Mav. But I'm not completely sold yet. I want to see it, drive it and know about its spec's. I like my Mav but I want more power because I ride in the sand dunes.

I hear you guys, being a Yamaha and Can-Am dealer and having raced Can-Ams for the last 5 years I am very excited to see what Yamaha has. Will we make the switch to racing a Yamaha time will tell. We are currently racing an XXC Mav. After 2 years in the mave we are finally getting it dialed in. Before that it was the 800 Commander and that thin g was Bullet Proof! With more power comes more issues. But being on the dealer side of things I get to hear little tid bits here and there but for the most part I am as in the dark as you guys. I can say however this ole YXZ has been in R&D and testing much longer than most would believe. And to this I am very excited to see what they have to offer with is. If there is one reason and one reason only to buy a Yamaha it is reliability they have the lowest recall rate of all manufactures. They are the tride and true machine. However we all know with new machines come new Hiccups.

To say the least I am very optimistic and have the highest of hopes! Is SEPTEMBER 1ST HERE YET!!!?

I'll be getting rid of my 2010 RzrS. It has been a great machine and has never let me down (I'm one of the lucky ones), but keeping up with the XP 1000's in my group is getting old. I normally don't buy a first year product, but I figure that buying a first year Yamaha is a safer bet then buying a new XP1000 with know issues and poor fit and finish. I'm real stoked to be belt free too!
Our family shares our off road toys as a collective group.

Right now we have (2) Yamaha Rhinos that we use for camping and (3) sand cars of different performance levels.

We are trying to simplify and update so we are going to sell the (2) lower end sand cars and the (2) rhinos.

Looking to probably buy (1) 2 Seat YXZ and possibly (1) 4 seat YXZ if they make it.

If the YXZ ends up sucking then i don't know, maybe buy a boat haha! because i am not really interested in the turbo RZR at that price point and with RZR 1st year reliability. I was hoping for more out of the Wildcat camp because i like the looks of their 2 seater but that was a real let down.
If Yamaha offers this new SxS in a 4 seater, and if it's not a mile long, I will sell my Kawi Teryx4.
I can not speculate on the 4 seaters for sure but if they follow suit with there other SxS's I would expect to see a 4 seater the year following the release then possibly the additions of a turbo model following the 4 seater year. Who knows maybe its so fast you wouldn't even want a turbo model! LOL
That is what I'm expecting also. I'm not really interested in a turbo, but I will probably wait until 2017 anyway. Wait a year for the bugs to be worked out and hope for a 4 seater.
From the sounds of things some may have to wait that long if the pre-orders keep filling up this fast!
From the latest video release, it looks like it will still need LT.
You know a machine is destined to be awesome when two guys call to put a deposit down and all you can do is peculate with them on what the machine specs will be! I am just hoping we don't pre-sell them all so I can still a have a chance to play with one! LOL

Yes and no, they didn't give us much to go off of on the video. However I think they did a very good job keeping the ride height low for a Low Center of Gravity while still having a good ground clearance. And I am curious to see what they ended up with for travel after seeing them get those shocks laid over a good bit that will definitely off more travel and a ride stability as-well.
Hey Seth, Just curious about what you think the MSRP will be on these machines? You can pm what your thinking if you don't want to do it in the public forum even though it is speculation being a dealer i could see how you wouldn't want some whacko to try and hold you to it or something quoting the forum.

I was speaking for us duners guys. Based on the ride height and width, it looks like it should be wider for better stability, IMO. However, you would think they would have learned that from all the Rhino lawsuits they dealt with. we'll see in 7 more days
But Really who can wait 7 MORE DAYS!
If I do love the yxz yes I will be getting one n I will be trading or selling my Wildcat X. But like I said I would really have to love it because I love my Wildcat X!
