What brand are you coming from and why?

Not me, not yet. Need time to see how the whole thing holds up, especially the transmission. I like everything about the Yamaha, very sharp lines! And it comes in orange!
I agree with Hollywood. I love this new Yamaha YXZ, but i would like to give a few months to see if there are any bugs (which i seriously doubt). It is taking EVERYTHING I have not to go get the first one that comes in. I really want to see how it handles on the trails. I am not a duner but i love to shift gears.
I'm itching to sell on of my Mav's to jump but I won't do anything probably until I see one at the SSSS and hopefully see some run at Halloween then I will decide for sure.
Former Rhino owner, now I have a 2013 xp4 900 with nearly 200 hours on it that I love. I knew this year was bringing a new model that would "force" me to upgrade. I assumed it would be the new POPO, but with this new Yami offering I will be switching back. It's funny, but the RZR forum has more irritated owners than happy ones it seems like. Unless another brand is mentioned...HA!
I am sold on it so far, but like others I want to wait at least 4 to 5 months to see how they r holding up. So they r going to be out end of sept to early Oct so Feb, March if everything is good then I should be ready. Yamaha always had great quality n I sure hope that they have it in this machine as well.
I'm a yami man, only bought polaris for fun factor. I had over five grand in warranty claims on one SXS with them.only polaris's customer service is worse than quality. I talked one of my employees into buying a 900 XP to ride with us.his master cylinder went out on it after a year. It took them four months to fix it under extended warranty, two months in he raised so much sand with the dealer they gave him a 800 number to polaris. He called it explained to the representative what was going on with his polaris product. They informed him all parts were needed for production and warranty parts would be sent out after that was met. Needless to say he was not a happy camper and neither him or I will buy another polaris again.

I AM NOT Bashing......just stating facts.
I actually really like my Mavericks, But that triple & being able to bang gears in the YXZ is going to make this such a fun duner.

Not quite ready to build another 30k woods machine just yet. I just got the Maverick where I want it. The temptation of something new is there but I won't be a guinea pig like I was for BRP. I want to see it in front of me for a few rides and see how the thing holds up
I'm still hoping for some demo rides at Glamis. That might make me change quicker, LOL.

I for one appreciate the warning label on the pole. I would like to publicly state that I for one would never even consider not taking the Polaris kool-aid communion and worshipping very week in the Polaris church.....er I mean forum....and all those that dare to speak against polaris and consider another god deserve the public shaming and to be banned for ever and ever .......amen.

Tim

PS. I only come on this forum to see who else is here and have taken detailed notes of the transgressors.........not because I am considering switching.........

I am hoping for the same thing. I bet there will be something out there but probably not a big advertised event.
Just a vendor booth offering free demo's to help get the word out. Similar to what Can-am did. A big dealer rented a booth
and then had a few cars out there for demo rides.

Yeah, thinking Thanksgiving time. Don't think Yamaha would like to go up against Camp RZR at Halloween, but you never know. Stranger things have happened.

I'm hoping Yamaha does what Canned ham and the Kitty did a couple years ago at camp RZR. Set up shop right outside of the enclosed camp RZR and had a line of people waiting to test drive them. Yami would steal the show this year if they did that! Camp Polaris would look like Shooter Mcgavin's posse..

You never know tho. a big dealership may get some demo vehicles from Yamaha just for this purpose. That would be so sweet and probably seal the deal for me.

Not sure if you were there last year. Camp RZR last year was 5 times the size it was when AC was there. I said this on my forum, PoPo just does things right when it comes to events. IMO, nobody comes close.

OK, now I'm confused? I thought you have a deposit down already?

I do, but that just gets me first in line for a blue one. Deposits are fully refundable I if I change my mind.
Still need to sell my Mav
