Yamaha OEM spare tire carrier installation

Craps, Man, Does Yamaha always over engineer there accessories?? Thought this was a simple bolt on. WOW was I mistaken. Anyone done one with cheating tips over the instructions?? or do I really :eek-new:need to remove bed and rear fenders to install? This thing weighs 60lbs. Now I need a turbo to move the additional weight!! ha ha

Can anybody please post the installation instructions?

Got a take off one, i was told that it will fit right in, an of course it doesn’t. Based on this tread, do I need to remove or cut the plastic ? (Pictures will help. This is on a 2022 model if it helps)

i held tire carrier up to approximate position and marker bed plastic on side where needs to be cut and then just unbolt enough bolts to prop up a couple inches. Myself i used a 2” hole saw to cut out and then bolted carrier right up.

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up taking the whole plastic out, since it serve not purpose with the trunk and tire carrier. See below the finish project
