Yamaha YXZ Bolt Pattern

Do you think the new YXZ bolt pattern will be the same as the Viking or the Wolverine? I assume those share the same bolt pattern? It would be nice if there were already aftermarket wheels out there that would bolt right up

Would make sense, those on the YXZ would be 12mm lugs to save on tooling cost. Can get the "tuner lugs" from advanced auto if need them for aftermarket wheels. Same as Nissan cars. RockymountainATV has the best selection for wheels for the Wolverine/Viking so far. Motosports.com still hasn't bothered to load the viking or wolverine into their wheel/tire package builder.

Yeah most likely will be the same as the others, but coming from someone who's broken a wheel stud or two....How long before a manufacturer brings a 5 or even 6 lug wheel on the scene? With wheel sizes growing larger and larger with 15" , 16" and bigger being more and more common, It could make sense to adapt say a 5 lug Ford Ranger bolt pattern... That would open up the wheel market considerably... not to mention the ability to run larger brakes on increasingly faster machines...
I think one of the reasons that they haven't gone to a common 4 or 5 lug pattern is so that they can control the accessory market. I think they would like people to go to the dealer and buy custom wheels that they sell directly.
True and it makes good business sense from powersports manufacturers and accessory brands exclusive to that field, but I'm really surprised an aftermarket company hasn't made a conversion kit. Especially one who makes products for both trucks/jeeps and atv/utvs.... Could very well be a potential goldmine if someone were to do so.
Super ATV makes adaptor kits so that you can run the common 5 on 4.5 if you'd like.
Cool! I wasn't aware anyone had did that already. This is clearly an example of a forum fulfilling one of its major purposes of existing..Information sharing!!! Go YXZTALK!!! lol

I'll definitely have to check that out,Thanks!

I would think if they went to anything they would go to a Wide 5 VW pattern, or 5 x 205mm, It is what 99% of the off road buggies that race and sand cars are, would make sense for the aftermarket wheel manufacturers as well because most of them already offer Wide 5 wheels in addition to UTV wheels. They could keep it in their niche market and still offer bigger wheels.

Snagged myself some adapters from Super ATV. Unfortunately, they came with 10mm lugs and the YXZ has 12mm. They probably offer the 12mm, but I did not find them on their Ebay store. They are freaking HUGE chunks of aluminum though. I cannot see breaking these even the way I drive. Just need 12mm now

Nice! Do you think you can make those adaptors work with 12mm lugs?
its 4 on 110
Same like Rhino then, just bigger diameter studs ???

I thinking so. They fit over the 12mm stock hubs, but then it will depend on your wheel lug holes. For instance, they will work very nicely for Douglas wheels with the smaller holes but probably will be a challenge for my Hipers. Always a gamble with wheel stud centric stuff. I might just buy some 12mm studs and drill out the adapters a bit and press them in.

...and yeah, 110mm
