Yamaha YXZ Shocks

From the blurry leaked photos of the Yamaha YXZ it looks like at least one model is going to come equipped with FOX Shocks. What features would these shocks need to have for you to keep them? If they are just a basic coilover with no adjustments what shocks would you swap them out for? Better Fox shocks, Kings, Walker Evans, Elkas or what?

I personally like Kings. I think the King internal bypass is what i would go with assuming i didn't need arms and other LT parts.

Fox shocks are nice too, especially the internal bypass ones like what is offered on the TurboXp assuming they didn't hand cuff fox to much on the setup and tuning.

If i end up buying an LT kit, then i just use what ever shock the vendor has tuned for their LT kit.
Anyone else surprised that a UTV manufacturer hasn't inked a deal with King? I would think it would be worth it to someone to pay up to be different or do you think that King is just too tough to work with for the manufacturers?
I believe it may have a part to do with production. King is in my eyes much more of a custom company. Plus the majority comes down to cost. Fox has been making good shocks for almost every company now. They have the production down which would allow them to lower the cost as well as having a good quality name behind them.

The manufactures i'm sure want to give us all good shocks but in the grand scheme of things it is going to come down to the dollar signs for the manufacturer.
IBP would be keepers.
I'm with you, but I doubt they will come stock
I thought King was in on the Robby Gordon deal for the next wildcat?

Lets see. Real estate = location,location,location
SXS= suspension,suspension,suspension
It's all starts with the shocks I believe, I remember having the first XP 900 in my area and the rear end just jumped and bucked in the rough stuff back then.if yamaha wants a home run they better have done there homework on the shocks, on the trails that's where the rubber hits the road.....

Yes all the Robby Gordon wildcats r coming with king shocks. But that's just the Robby Gordon special edition wildcat n there r only a few of them that r going to be made. Who knows they may also come on the new 145hp wildcat if n when it comes out in 2017.

King may not want to deal with them for reputation sake. The Rzr XP 1000 certainly didn't do Walker Evans name any good. The sxs makers always have to cheapen up the shocks with cheaper spring etc. I suspect the Yamaha will have KYB shocks on it.
Does KYB shocks offer a large enough shock to support a sport side-by-side? When I think of them I just think of the small ATV shocks.

I'm sure they have the resources to build them. They make car and truck shocks too. Their factory shocks on the Yfz450 were actually pretty decent. I am curious if we may get high and low speed compression on the YXZ.
