Yxz hood lift.

In the process of putting together these easy to install hood lifts! Front plates are being cut this week. Wondering what kind of interest there would be in the kit? Feedback much appreciated!

I too liked the idea.. it’s only been 5 months since the original post was started and I kinda got tired of waiting so I started pulling a few of the nose pieces to see what it entails…. Super easy!!

To me the main reason to even do a “hood lift” is to raise the hood off the headlights. Yamaha’s design is flawed, why did they cover headlights?!?

Thank you. I did make that part, I went to Ace hardware grabbed a thin piece of sheet metal for a few bucks. I cut a very basic design and painted it black.
Obviously what I’ve done isn’t in the realm of Avid racings front lift… but is less expensive.
Mucho better light coming off the factory headlights.. now that they aren’t covered by the hood.

you should show what exactly you did for this mod pretty cool mod looks dope i think it looks alot better than stock

Avid sells a head light lift but you need to make a few other brackets

i have the same bumper and cage tie ins, I want to raise my hood now too. did you raise the bumper as well? or just the hood? i wish someone made a kit for this. avid has a kit to raise the headlights.

from what i understand youll have to make a few more pieces to hold the hood but this is a good start
