You see what I see! I hope this is wrong. Maybe someone that knows for sure will chime in. If this is true then it's bad news for us southern boys. When we get one at the shop I'll load test the charging system to see what it will handle. OR if some of the vendors that already have there hands one would test this for us. That would be nice.

I asked what the watts are at idle and only got the 40amp answer at 3000 rpm :/ Which is about 500 watts. About what the Wolverine has. Easy way to check. Turn everything on and watch the BATT display. Gotta have everything including fan to kick on. If it goes below 12.7volts at idle then you know you'll need the alternator kit.

I'm running a 90watt lightbar and whips with everything on it's at 13.8 volts. Don't have a big stereo/amp going though.

if only someone would corner the market on stators that have a higher output. Correct me if Im wrong, but at 40amps wont that be about 480 watts (A x V=W) so a light bar that is 90w is only drawing 7.5 amps?

I have 3 18w spots, 12" 72w light bar, a monster lighted whip with 3000 led lights, and with high beams on at idle voltage bounces 13.8-14.0, fan on at idle it fluctuates down to 13.6, i don't see any concern for me, but i will be adding aux battery for back up later.

More like 1260w if you figure that the voltage should have a base of 14v while running.

I rather have an alternator putting out the amperage I need than a big heavy battery that still going to be discharging when I have the electrical system taxed out.

I have the kit but, only have a few hours on the machine. The belt and pulley looks good still, and all my hours are on the sand. I'm not sure it was necessary but with lights stereo and a winch I didn't want to tax the stock Stator.

Ill definitely report back if there are any issues with durability.
