YXZ1000R SE First mods?

I'll be getting the Recluse for sure and most likely modifying the cage and top. It is tall! Too tall for my trailer I believe. I have to back in the Rhino or the top hits and the YXZ100 is 2 inches taller I believe. By September I'll know if I'm installing a turbo or not. Storage box , mirrors and fire extinguisher round out my list. What moods do you guys anticipate will be needed or would do just because it's convenient? I'm just getting ready for October.

cage chop, probably an aluminum roof and toss the plastic one, and 4 point harnesses.

Not a fan of the yellow and white though so i am going to hold out to probably after the 1st of the year to purchase
I've never used them but 4 point harnesses are great idea. I like the blue but not willing to wait LOL
Was gonna add a pic but couldn't do it on phone, but just waiting for the 12" billit shift knob like the rally cars. I'm sure we will see quite the variety in aftermarket.

Looks like the bulbous top bars can unbolt as well as the roof. That would have to be the first mod is to take that Fred Flinstone look out of it

A slide in radiator pre filter of some kind would have to be in there next. I could sell a bunch of those. Pull it out, wash it off and slip it back in.

Who will be the first to put a true dual rate shock setup on theirs?

What about tunes? I know the sound of the triple will be intoxicating but eventually I will have to have my jam.

The bottom looks protected well but Aarm guards will be a must for us woods guys
Being that this will be my first sxs I will do a harness and spare tire, fab a top roll bar and wait till I get passed before I do any power mods. Might be a while hehe.

I will know more after I see one in person today. But I like custom cages for more strength and better looks, suspension seats are a must along with 5 or harness', LED light bar, comm system, factory fender flares, rekluse clutch.

Before adding a $4k turbo kit I highly recommend you get an exhaust and programmer first and see how this thing responds. I'm pretty sure you can get this motor to 130 HP very easily without spending anywhere near $4k. The FZ-09 is a 847 cc triple that makes 115 HP and this YXZ has 150 more cc's.

I'm not getting one just yet, but by the time I'm ready, I'm sure UTV Inc will have everything I need!
For me I'm getting fenders, rekluse clutch, winch, front and rear window and I'm going to see about building a full enclosure from there. Then in the spring I'll see about getting one of my sets of paddles to work with it. Oh and if I have it in January, I'm mounting my plow to it.....

112 hp may be competitive but 130 hp would be for sure

Oh. Is the plow to push the compitition out of your waw?
Cage work is definitely high on my list, and good harnesses.
l WOULD BUY ONE WITH ALL THE ACCESSORIES. THEN l GET SOME 4 POINT HARNESSES Text Font Paper
See less See more
# 1 Harnesses
# 2 OEM Fender Flares
# 3 Exhaust/Tuner (Maybe- if I don't go the turbo route)
# 4 Factory Turbo (Maybe- if it's covered by the Y.E.S plan or RPMone)
# 5 Rekluse (Maybe- if my left foot gets lazy after the first couple of rides.)
# 6 Light Bar
# 7 Factory storage box
# 8 ITP SD Dual Beadlocks
# 9 29" Dirt Commanders (Maybe if the gearing can handle jumping up two tire sizes without putting too much strain on the clutch & power.)
# 10 Half windshield for 15+ degree weather (I'm not a fan of full windshields due to the sun glare when climbing hills.)

hmm.... after factoring in all the additional cost in hopes to make the YZX suite my needs I may need to hold onto my XP1k a little longer. haha j/k
Lighting, spare tire mount and a cargo box for me.
No doubt Tennessee no doubt!
Financing is done, just waiting for it to arrive (first in line). I'm looking at 14" DWT Sector wheels with Tensor 30" tires (curious about the stock gearing,) the fender protectors/extensions, and a few other things. Cool part about being an early adopter is the demand by the aftermarket to get heir hands on one. I already have a cage builder ready to fabricate a cage free of charge and have approached a well known engine tuner to have some work done.
